Biography: Chief Trafton joined the Department on March 14th, 2005. He recently retired from a twenty year career with the Maine State Police. While with the State Police, he served as a rural road Trooper in Waldo County for nearly ten years. He ended his career as the mid coast Troop Commander responsible for the four counties in the mid-coast area. He is also a retired Captain with the Maine Army National Guard and is a four year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He currently lives in Thorndike. The Chief's hobbies included bass fishing, camping and snowmobiling.
